Todays missing 1992 Topps card is #960, Calvin Schiraldi.
Calvin first appeared in the Majors in 1984 with the New York Mets. He played with them through 1985 and then was traded to the Boston Red Sox for Bob Ojeda. He spent 1986 and 1987 with the Sox and was traded to the Chicago Cubs for Lee Smith. He played with the Cubs until the 1989 trading deadline when he was traded to the San Diego Padres for Luis Salazar. He finished the season with them, and spent the 1990 season with them, before signing with the Texas Rangers in early 1991. He spent the rest of ‘91 with them, which was his final season in the Majors.
Calvin’s first Topps appearance was in the 1986 set. He appeared in the 1987 Topps set, the 1988 regular and Traded set. His last 2 cards came in the 1990 and 1991 Topps sets. Calvin is missing cards from the 1984 Topps Traded, 1985 Topps, 1986 Topps Traded, 1989 Topps Traded, and 1991 Topps Traded sets. Other cards besides the 1992 Topps one that I’ve covered are the 1984 Topps Traded and 1991 Topps Traded cards, so Calvin only needs 3 cards (‘85 Topps, ‘86 Topps Traded, and ‘89 Topps Traded) to complete his career Topps run.
Thanks for checking out my latest post.
